To celebrate 30 years since the band?s very first rehearsal in the heart of The Black Country, The Wonder Stuff produced a very special vinyl sleeve for their latest album.
The 2016 album was released on all usual formats, with a very limited number available on 180 gram white vinyl complete with pop up ferris wheel.
It was a great pleasure to work on such a high profile and unusual project, where I created the imagery for the gatefold packaging using digital illustrative techniques.
Engineered with a pop up ferris wheel in the centre of a deluxe gatefold sleeve, a bespoke cutting guide was created to produce the city scape. Landmark venues synonymous with the band?s history have been subtly added amongst the illustrated buildings, to create an even more personal feel to this limited edition pressing.
The packaging also features a full colour inner sleeve printed with lyrics. The album is pressed on 180g 12″ white vinyl, and the first 500 were signed by the band.
This project was completed during my employment at GRIN.
